My sister in law collects S/P shakers, & when I found these I thought they would make a great Christmas gift. Unfortunately, I paid more attention to the picture rather than the description. The main picture of the item shows 3 sets of shakers, and 2 alternate detailed views of one set. Even in the area where you can purchase this item along with another for a discount, it shows 3 sets of shakers. At the time I bought this item the price was $25. Maybe I'm a lunkhead, but the picture along with the price lead me to believe I was purchasing 3 sets of shakers for $25.
I have a large family and we buy presents for EVERYONE- needless to say, we set a $20-$30 budget on gifts for the adults. Unfortunately, when my S-I-L opened her gift, these tiny little shakers looked like they fell well below par. Oh, don't get me wrong- they're cute, SUPER cute, but not $25 cute. Imagine having to explain to your mother that you are not mad at your sis-in-law, nor did u buy her a cheap $5.99 gift at Target on your way to the party, because u are known for your procrastination and she assumes each year you will forget to buy a present for someone (this only happened once, Mom) and this year it is your poor brother's wife who is receiving your "oh crap, I forgot, last minute replacement gift".
So, my advice: you only get one set of shakers, not three. I noticed that they have lowered the price of this item to something more appropriate for one shaker. If you are giving this as a gift, I wouldn't necessarily make it the only gift you give. It's one of those items that if given alone, the person will open the present, pull this out, exclaim "CUTE!" and then pick up the bag to look for the rest of their present. After finding the bottom of the bag depressingly empty, they set it back down disappointedly thinking, "...but that was it?"

Has some flaws on the glazing including drips. The quality is, ok. Didn't bother returning them because it's not worth the time. They were recieved on time.

When I received the product, it was slightly different from the original "Hugs" salt and pepper shown in the picture. The eye holes are much larger than the original, causing too much salt to come out! :) I was not very happy with the product, and advise others to purchase the original version from the MoMA design store, rather than this cheap knock-off.

I bought these from MOMA not Amazon but I just have to write a review. These are the most adorable shakers you'll ever find. They're a perfect gift for any occassion/person. PLUS they serve their purpose well too! I just love my set and I get compliments on them all the time!
