Ryan Jackson and Elizabeth Valentine can't stand each other. Unfortunately for them, their parents get along great and decide to play matchmaker in a very unusual way.
In order to keep their jobs, they agree to marry for four months and spend their honeymoon in a remote Alaskan cabin. But they are determined that their parents' ruse will never work. Nope. They will return to Omaha and get an annulment.

This is the first book from Ruth Ann Nordin that I read. I had a good time reading it. I actually read it twice. It's a very nice book to read.

Unbelievably dull. There was no excitement, no tension, no humor, just a chronology of events. This was the worst book I've gotten from amazon to date.

I have to admit I am officially a fan of Ms. Nordin. This is the 3rd book of hers that I have read and enjoyed. The other 2 were historical romances and I was pleased to see she has just the same page turning story with her contemporary romance. Yes it was predictable but aren't all romances, isn't that why we read them? But even though I could guess what was going to happen, I couldn't get those pages turned quick enough to get there. There aren't many books that I will stay up till 1am on a work night to read because I can't put it down, but this was one of them.
I enjoyed the premise of the two characters starting out hating each other, but when I found out why I felt really sorry for them that so many years had been wasted between them. Ms. Nordin also was able to transport me to the remote Alaskan location just as easily as she did with the locations of her historical novels. She is very good at writing a setting that you can just meld into while reading.
In summary this book is a great light-hearted, fun, and quick read.

This is the first e-book I've read by Ruth Ann Nordin, and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work. I totally enjoyed it. Unlike many romance novels today that are more soft core pornography, Ms. Nordin's books are sensitive well written stories with beautiful characters you can fall in love with, page by page, no padding needed. She had me hooked by the first chapter. As a self-published writer and editor of my own small press, I highly recommend "With This Ring I Thee Dread". It's romantic comedy at its best. Think Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves! Hint: Any Movie Producers out there? I give "With this Ring I Thee Dread" Five Well-Deserved Stars!
