Product Description Lady Calandra should have suitors beating down her door. But her overprotective brother, the Duke of Rochford, has managed to scare off every suitable gentleman. Every man except the mysterious Earl of Bromwell, that is. Callie finds herself drawn to the enigmatic earl, despite her brother's almost violent protestations. In defiance of her brother's wishes, Callie devises a plan to see Bromwell again, enlisting the help of matchmaker Francesca Haughston. But when shadowy secrets about the duke and the earl come to light, it may be too late for Callie to see that she's walked straight into a trap....

Highly enjoyable romance May 3, 2010 Em Knowell (England, UK) It pains me to give a Candace Camp novel only 4 stars, but I have to save the 5 star reviews for my favourites (The Courtship Dance, Light and Shadow, & Bitterleaf, to name but a few). This book, The Wedding Challenge, is about the Earl of Bromwell who has been waiting many years to take revenge on the formidable Duke of Rochford. He has his chance when he meets the beautiful Lady Calandra, sister of his enemy, Rochford. Of course "Brom" doesn't count on falling for the sweet, innocent girl. Things become even more complicated for Brom when his viscious, vindictive sister appears on the scene, determined to exact her own revenge by utterly ruining Lady Calandra's reputation. There is lots of plotting, deception and of course, sizzling love in any Candace Camp book, and this one doesn't disappoint. I wish I could rate it 4.5 stars, but sadly 4 will have to do!
Good read March 24, 2010 Dragon Lady (San Antonio TX) Book was in keeping with the other books written in this series. Nice, light reading even if you know the ending,
You've got to be kidding! April 26, 2009 N. Kobrowski (Westfield, IN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been a loyal reader of Candice Camp since she wrote as Lisa Gregory. This book really disappointed me. Yes, all romance books are pretty formula, but at least in previous books, the characters were fleshed out a bit. Callie and Brom had no depth, no life, and unfortunately, as I read the book, I could have cared less. I agree with other readers that there was a lot of repetition. The descriptions of the locations were uninspired and the sex scenes were perfunctory.
romance January 21, 2009 B. Vigil Not as good as the previous book but I still enjoyed it very much. I look forward to the next book in the series.
an ok read. November 30, 2008 NS The story and characters lack the depth and emotion of better books, but its an easy read and not boring.
