3 out of 5 stars It's just so-so   August 25, 2010
D. Henrie
This eyelash curler is so-so. For me, it doesn't work any better or worse than any other, well actually maybe it doesn't work quite as well as Revlon's. I follow the directions about holding it for 10 seconds and moving it out a little and doing it again. It only offers the slightest curl, really it's barely noticeable. I have no idea why it's gotten rave reviews from some people. I hoped it would be worth the money, but it isn't.

1 out of 5 stars Doesn't Open Wide Enough to Get My Lashes In   August 19, 2010
Anon (Sitting In Front Of My Computer)
Like another reviewer, I've been using the tried-and-true Revlon/Maybelline curlers since the Carter administration. Let's face it, eyelash curling is not rocket science; it's not even advanced calculus, so I, like other reveiwers, was a bit hesitant to shell out big bucks on some Mercedes of curlers when my Toyota was doing quite well, thank you.
But I did.
And as my mom always says, "Caveat Emptor!"

I'm sure that it's a great curler, if I could get it to work; but its opening is only about 1/2 as wide as my old curler and therein lies the problem. When I try to get it over my eyelashes, they either get mushed against the inside of the curler or shoved down into my eyeball. (Not particularly pleasant at any time; much less at 0600 in the morning.) Okay, so maybe I'm not the most coordinated individual in the world, and, as previously mentioned, most eyelash curling takes place when I'm still half asleep, but nothing's changed in my routine but the curler.

After strugging for three consecutive mornings, and ending up resorting to my Revlon/Maybelline curler, I've given up.

Want a bargain Shu curler??? Check out ebay in about two days.

4 out of 5 stars good product - not a miracle but good   August 15, 2010

The product does what it says - a good product - it does work like the curler is supposed too....

2 out of 5 stars Eyelash curler without replacement pad   June 24, 2010

Everytime I have purchased this from other vendors it has come with a replacement pad. This item is on the expensive side (it is a very good product) and you can't purchase the replacement pads separatly. Therefore once the pad is used up you have to buy another curler. Having the one extra pad that comes with it helps spread out the cost of the curler. Since this vendor does not include and extra pad this is now a very expensive item. The vendor was great with everything else except this. I will not buy this product from them again.

5 out of 5 stars Best Eyelash Curler Ever.   June 11, 2010

So I have dead straight eyelashes, without a curl to them whatsoever. They're not short though, thank god... my boyfriend's stepmom bought me one of these for Christmas one year as a funny gift, because she told me she couldn't live without it. Now I'm the same way! This eyelash curler doesn't rip your eyelashes out like some others tend to do, and it gives a strong, natural looking curl. I love this thing!
